The use of PAE resin in manufacturing: innovation for the food industry

Polyamide-polyamine-epichlorohydrin (PAE) resin is a category of thermosetting epoxy resins.

This type of resin is the result of a reaction between a polyamide and epichlorohydrin, which gives rise to a three-dimensional structure known as an epoxy network.

Characteristics of PAE resins

PAE resins retain their mechanical properties even in the presence of moisture, making them suitable for applications that are exposed to certain conditions.

The main characteristics of PAE resins pertain to their mechanical, thermal and chemical resistance.

What is more, these resins adhere well to a variety of surfaces and show minimal shrinkage during the curing process, which also makes them excellent electrical insulators.
