Mare adhesive agents
Mare offers a complete range of coating agents for all tissue grades:
- PAE resins: acid- and neutral-based and plasticisers
- Neutral-based cationic polymers with plasticisers
PAE resins: acid- and neutral-based with plasticisers can be used on machines at medium-low speeds and are suitable for production using recycled paper.
Modified neutral-based cationic polymers with plasticisers (third generation 'Plus') are stabilised for high tenacity. They are generally used for high-speed machines, suitable for virgin fibres, ideal for metallised and cast-iron Yankees, specifically for very high-quality soft paper.
Excellent in terms of coating uniformity and chatter-mark control, they are characterised by medium-high CAT adhesion and softness.
All products are BfR and FDA approved and contain low levels of, or are free from, DCP, MCDP and chlorides.
They can be used in Ecolabel production and are in compliance with the main environmental regulations.
Mare release agents
Mare offers a complete range of release agents:
- Purified vegetable oils with high emulsifiability properties, ideal for tissue waste paper
- Mineral oils with very high lubricity properties, ideal for waste and virgin paper
- Synthetic oils with excellent emulsifiability properties, providing a more stable coating and better blade lubrication, with a high flash point for odourless paper
- Non-oil release agents, which can boost elongation and softness, with excellent emulsifiability properties, high sheet release and maximisation of the coating thickness and profile control. Ideal for high-softness paper or in the presence of defects on the Yankee surface, such as high porosity and chatter marks

Mare Protective agents
Mare offers a complete range of protective agents:
- Phosphates for soft and hard water
- Phosphates for virgin and waste paper
- Phosphates for low, medium and high adhesion
Mare protective agents can be used to:
- Prevent corrosion and erosion of the Yankee surface
- Provide uniform distribution of electrical charges on the Yankee surface
- Improve coating uniformity
- Increase creping blade life
- Boost the synergic performance of the adhesive

Mare Modifier agents
Mare offers a wide range of modifier agents:
- Modified PVOH with medium or high adhesion
- Modified PVOH designed to increase the coating thickness
- Modified PVOH with different grades of molecular weight and charge
Mare modifier agents can be used to:
- Control the rheology of the adhesive agent
- Optimise the adhesion of the paper sheet to the Yankee surface
- Improve control over the release process from the Yankee
- Boost the performance of coating technology on TAD and NTT machines

Mare edge control products
Mare offers a wide range of edge control products:
- Made with wax with surfactant action and castor oil
- Made with emollient and lubricant oil agents
- Made with surfactant agents
Mare modifier agents can be used to:
- Prevent chatter marks deriving from build-up on the edge of the Yankee
- Improve edge blade lubrication
- Increase blade life
- Reduce sheet brakes deriving from edges
- Control of trim release
