Commitment to the Social
and to innovation
To further optimise its processes, in line with its ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) policy, MARE S.p.A. has set the goal of implementing an SA8000-certified management system for social responsibility issues during 2023-2024.

The internationally recognised SA 8000 Social Accountability Management System is the model that MARE S.p.A. has chosen to guarantee to the market and its customers that the company manufactures its products and services in a way that respects its employees.

While minimising the environmental impact of our activities and products, we must also come to terms with the fact that energy is becoming gradually more expensive for companies, and fluctuations in energy prices have become a factor of instability and risk for the continuity of production.

In this context, we must consistently monitor and manage energy consumption to remain competitive in an increasingly global market.

From 2019 to 2021, the percentage of electricity generated by Mare increased from 14% to 71%: generating 100% of our operational energy requirements (rather than purchasing it) is one of the challenging goals we wish to achieve by 2030.
