Starting with the environment, at Mare S.p.A., sustainability has always been an opportunity to develop innovative solutions and to improve the planet, all while keeping a keen eye on the economic and financial aspects of the business. MARE S.p.A. has consistently paid close attention to the sustainability of its processes and products, striving to be a leader in the prudent use of natural resources by setting ambitious goals to reduce the environmental impact of its industrial activities.

To mention a few projects, over the years, we installed a 1MW photovoltaic power plant and an 800kW high-efficiency trigeneration plant. Moreover, we recently fitted the Ossona plant with an extensive solar energy system that provides the entire plant with more than 20% of its energy requirements.
As part of our continued drive to increase sustainability, in addition to maintaining UNI EN ISO 14001 certification for environmental management, at the beginning of 2023, we implemented a UNI EN ISO 50001 certified energy management system.

Since the production of chemical products includes health and safety hazards, to reduce risks and prevent accidents, Mare follows a strict policy designed to safeguard its employees and the community we work in. If everyone knows their responsibilities, there is a lower risk of injuries occurring.

Every day we do our best to ensure the health and safety of all parties involved in the supply chain.
To show our commitment, we verified with suppliers and completed the registration necessary under the EU REACH Regulation (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) for the chemicals used in the products they manufacture, market and sell in the European Union (EU). Additionally, Mare has reviewed and applied the necessary requirements and expectations to comply with CLP Regulations.
